Top secret :D

But you are right in that it is an MPi block.

It will run full sequential injection and DIS.

Tease!!

As for the SPi, im running the standard inlet manifold, untouched for the minut (Slark are going to mod it to match the porting of the head) the exhaust manifold is the Maniflow injection LCB.

Take pic when completed. I gave serious thought into making my own intake out of some mandrel bent exhaust pipe. But then I found the SPI manifold and saved me!!

The LCB that you have looks like a budget item and do tend to foul the coolant pipes. Though nice recovery and redesign. Most either cut it off or massage it with a hammer.

I have more time then money so everything is budget!!

No offence to Bill but that is tame to some of the stuff i am currently involved in. If you think this is hard core, wait a couple of months for what im currently working on.

Still Bill is going about this a whole different way which does make it unique. Its nice to speak to people who do things rather than just talk about it.

Iterested Bill on the out come of the stepper motor, I will in the next couple of weeks be doing this when the ECU turns up, and i will be doing exactly this as previously discussed.

Like I said, top stuff :D

What ECU are you going with?

I toyed with the idea of going MS but there is just too many changes in them right now so I will hold off.
I really like the little micro squirt ECM!! That thing will fit anywhere!!

It looks and reads good but DANG...
You guys throw around GBP like we use dollars!!

That stuff, I think is out of my budget.

I'm still reusing junk yard parts...with just a little personal chip tweaking!! :D

This all reminds me of when i was playing with it, :-
i had to relocate the coolant pipe as well and my VR sensor was mounted in exactly the same place :withstupid:
Looks like a good project and its nice to see someone going to Injection rather than just removing it.

Ed,
Your post means nothing without pics!!! :(

OK played a little more this weekend, Mostly cleaning stuff up, tore the starter apart and painted it. Cleaned up the front dampner.

Then decided to see if the basic stuff works.

Set my VR pickup in place.
So I hooked up 12V and ground and my timing light so I could verify the timing is at 0° baseline.

Other then still deciding on V-belt or serpentine, this is the basic parts.

And I think it's going to work!!!
The spark will actually jump and 1.5 inches.

Man that's a skinny dampner. Is it a modified stock one or after market?
Looks like a 36.

What parts did you use for your system...did you post up a build, I can just look at that.

LOL at Bill

That is a laser cut 36 -1 trigger wheel. I sold Ed that a good while back when i decided that it was not suitable for my aplication. I think its bolted to a standard 998 pulley rather than the 1275 damper.

I just welded a 36-1 wheel onto the stock pulley (its a 998 engine)
I was running megasquirt just for the ignition, then started to play with the injection as well, but didnt really have time so stuck the carb back on.

Sure looks different then my 998 damper.
It's exacly like the one in my pics that I milled the slots in.

Maybe it's just the pic but that one looks a lot thinner.
