So far im chuffed with it all and how it came out. Its not ment to be a show car. Im saving for a proper job sometime next year. But for those going to Caenby corner you'll get a better look on friday.

Ahh nice progress, nearly all finished then!

Just wondering.. might seem a daft question. Is it alrite to run them without the cover over the belt? Cause Ive just painted the cam cover on the Swift I bought and I did wonder.

Yeah we are both running without the cover, but you are at risk of a stone or something similar getting in between the belt and sprocket and causing the belt to jump a tooth or more, or even snap, which could easily result in valves meeting the pistons at a high speed.

I thought about this when seeing the Jap tuners at the shows, without them. Depends if you want the looks or safety with the cover?

You could always make a clear lexan/polycarbonate cover.... :-
