We corrected the clearance problem with the nuts on the bulkhead (see he does do some of it):
Then we proceeded to test fit the engine (yes i know its not that level, but we are working around any clearance problems first):
Heres the main problem (inlet manifold hitting the bulkhead), this will be easy to fix:
Then we took the suspension bits off the old subframe and attached one side to the frame on the car:
After seeing how much space we have from the tie rod we are going to move the bottom part of the frame out a bit more to give the sump more clearance:
Tomorrow we will modify the frame then weld it some more to give it more strength.
Then we will put the engine back in and probably the suspension on both sides so it can sit on its wheels again.

If you do a few cuts to start with then weld on some tubing and then a few more cuts you can get the sides out of the frame without having to brace anything before removing big bits.
At the front of the frame the bits that are left are the tie rod holes everything else forward of the towers is tubing.

The solid subframe mounts turned up today so we fitted those after doing a 2 slight alterations to the frame for a little more clearance.
We then fitted the frame with the new mounts and then set the engine in and got it to where it should end up.
We are going to order some new engine mounts and some metal to make the brackets for the mounts hopefully they should turn up by the weekend so we can start doing the mounts.
When this is done we will be welding the frame so the engine can sit in it, and it can sit on the suspension

You might be able to afford James' servicesSome people take months to get to this stage. I may need to hire your services to get my project rolling.
As much as we would like to help we are restricted by higher powers.
Plus in a month or so hopefully we will both be working!!
But im sure we can help with smaller parts of the project (management etc ).
