Nice to meet you at Bingley today. Hope you got whatever you went there for (if indeed you were after something!).

Hi guys I am new here, I have never owned a mini and never really built anything like this by myself but I am finding this forum brilliant, I wish I could do something like this I wish I had the money too, Ady your dads car looks mint you got any better pics and what is the spec of the car what model was th mini he used for the project.

Before I started reading all this a couple of days ago if somebody would of said to me they had a motorbike engine in there mini I would of thought they was talking a load of s**t, to be honest it is still all a bit of a foreign language to me, I mean what do you do, buy a mini cut it up by a frame from Z-cars and stick a big bike engine in !! looks a lot harder than it sounds.

"It's a small step for man and a big step for mankind......."

For many it's just a money problem....... Save and you'll get there....... The build itself goes like Ady says.....

This is my dash , its a one off from curley, he made it especially for an etb digidash,
well , what can i say -it was quite difficult to fit , i had to scribe it all in to fit (im a carpenter for a living so thought it would be easy!! :( )
Then when refitting the roll frame couldnt get it back in and had to shove the hole dash through the windsreen opening so the bracket at the top of the rear subframe would fit back in!
The masking tape was for scribing/stop scatches, i used a dremmel for trimming.

The finished job, im very pleased with it :(
i used fairing bolts from my local motor bike shop for fixing it in.

link to dremel
once you've used a dremel you cant manage without one!

Fait play that dash is gorgeous as i like the fact it is unique and it will complement the Digidash perfectly.
Just be careful and dont scratch it!!!!

Cheers

Ps i wouldnt like the price tag of curley though!!! :'(
