this is sounding a right fruity car to me  seats look nice & purposeful, as does the cage,

are the harness's from a jet fighter, i nearly bought some on egay before chrimbo haha!

i have some nice 60's/70's lucas lights stashed away, not sure if i should use them, my car is my daily driver & i'd stress if some willy smashed them up!

i've just spent up some cash i dont have, the dreaded 'card' on a megajolt! loads of features, i think it may be a good move! just trying to decide what trigger wheel to go for as i'm a little unsure as i really need one from a 1275 in decent condition, we'll see how that go's over the nxt 2 weeks or so

seen some nice minis in cov over the last few weeks

yay - bargain :D from two separate auctions. 7 lights, from the group of 4 one is missing a chrome ring, and the spare from the group of 3 is rusting a little on the reflector. But out of that i get 6 perfect lights, 2 fogs, 2 long range, 2 mid range - for just under £20 per light inc delivery :w00t:

So - don't cut me up, otherwise it'll be the last thing you ever see ^_^

Also, whilst i can't work on my actual mini, i've started work on my CAD project for one of my uni modules, which is a 3D model of my mini in alias. I was thinking about showing progress of it alongside my real project... not go much to show for it ATM tho, just made a 10x6 GB alloy and a bit of the side of the car....i'll post something when it looks recognizable :gimme:

oooow yea :D

will your composite front end be able to hold the weight of all the lights? will you still be able to lift it up as well?

Loving the cibies there dan. Im sure ive asked this but, how the hell are you going to mount all them lights on your car?? Surely youll be doing Endos with that amount of weight on the front end lol.

How coooooool would that be if i could do an endo :( lol

I think you underestimate the strength of the kevlar front - they're damn strong - it the carbon bonnet bit thats a bit more fragile.

ere you go, to give you an idea of of how they will be made.....

Braket A will be made from a wide strip of steel, then i will cut a pair of slits into it and bend it with a hammer and blowtorch :P It will look very similar two a 2 up 2 down bracket - except with two bottom legs. Then the bit of angle it just there to space out the two bottom ones apart, the angle will stop any flexing. Does that make sence?? The idea is to make it without welding, simply because i can't.

The braket will attatch to the ridge behind the bumper lip, and on what would normally be the slam panel on standard bonnets, easy peasy :P

Nice, although welding it might be a little better for the long term, ensuring that the weight of the lights dont bend the bracket etc.

Im sure Matt could weld it for you.

Cheers mate

The ram pipes where from minispares £16 a pop. They do replace the normal pancake/K&n Stylee filter. They should be used with sock filters - but i havn't got round to getting them yet, or you can use them with something like an itg filter.

I hope i dont run out of light either!! :P tho i'd hate to see how much bhp i could loose if i put 100w bulbs in and had 'em all on at the same time :D I'm acctually wiring them up all in pairs, so the fogs, longrange, and wide. The thing is, i'm not a chavy idiot who drives aroud with fogs on - they are there for when its foggy - surprisingly. And you don't use spotlights in the fog - because it makes vision worse. The longrange lamps are ace and allow you see futher ahead then you will ever need to - but they do only project a very narrow beam of light - hence the wide beam lamps - for all round use

However, if someone cuts me up - i will be flashing all 6 at once, as well as my main headlight beam - its gonna be fun :P
