They were C**p and kept popping off! This is a little annoying and a bit hairy along the motorway, so:
I fitted some locking ones at the rear:

They are a bit rough at the moment, but the light was fading and it was christmas eve so they'll do for now.
They look better on the car, but I've neglected to take a pic yet.

Engine is being a bugger though.
First it knackered a lucas coil and lumenition optical eye because the alternator failed battery lost all oomph eventually and sent the two items above loopy!

it looks like i'm going to be selling the car soon, and i was going to fit the old standard set of lumenition i've got, its all there but the eye is broken, a mate in work said he bought just the standard eye last year and it was 30 odd quid. i'll have a bit of a phone around next week, see if i can get one.

I took this fan off the rad on the old 1330, in perfect working order.
Spent ages on thursday doing a really good job making a mounting bracket out of aluminium, so that I didn't have to attach the fan through the fins of my horny new 4 core alloy rad.
Even though the end result doesn't look too thrilling, getting the hole cut in the aluminium to match the odd contours on the opposite side of the fan wasn't easy.
...and getting the holes drilled in the car with no space under wings or in bay, without removing engine and rad, was close to impossible!
excuse the lack of photo's because the site doesn't seem to load up at the mo.
