The only thing I would say is that keeping the inner wings is a major PITA for servicing. I can just do the timing belt in mine though as I cut some craftily placed access holes in the inner wing.......flip front would make it SO much better to be honest.

If you're going to run throttle bodies or carbs instead of the standard inlet setup, then you'll want to run a custom ECU anyway (and therefore custom wiring). Just run power to a separate fuse box and run the engine/fuel pump off that. That's the easiest way.

There is an unreal amount of flex in them, for £300 you can do much better. Allspeed do an internal pedal box (non-adjustable bias) and that's what I wish I'd gone for. The OBP one was a waste of time and money and I need to replace it.

I'm gonna get a 205 GTi again for a laugh and do an engine conversion in that, but I'm also going to get something like a Focus ST or Civic Type R as just a normo daily driver if the Mini sells. In no rush to sell it at all really, but we'll see what happens.

This is exactly why I keep thinking of selling it. Is it really worth keeping it in the garage for the odd ten minutes of fun every month or so....then again, I've stuck with the GF!

I've bought a new windscreen, seal and fillet strip.
I've bought a set of 6 x 10 Mambas.
I'm going to rent a unit with the GF's brother and this will be our first project.
The Mini is getting a pre-sale respray. It won't be a full resto, just a rub down and refresh. The body is pretty solid all around, but it's just a little tatty. So the roof is the bit that needs the most work. Couple of dents, a few scratches and some lovely damage from the roof rack

The suction cups on the roof must have had something sticky on the (maybe tree sap or something) when I fitted it. I took it off and it literally pulled the paint off the roof. So I need to rub the roof down to bare-metal and sort it out. The sunroof seal needs replacing too so that's another little tidy-up job that needs sorting.
I'm aiming to sell this by around June/July, so watch this space...the clock is ticking!
