I wish!!!Must just be the head back from the machine shop, looking all shiny and clean?
Nah, managed to do this:

It was chuffing heavy! I lifted it onto the car creeper, slid that into place and then tilted the engine and gearbox so it was inline with where it needed to be, then one BIG lift, then she was in. Engine hoists are for mere mortals!

It's a nice big step, as it means I can now sort out the loom mods, the radiator mounts and pipework and the head.
I've got an awesome inlet manifold being made up at the moment too. The standard one is daft as a brush and the inlet tract between TB and head must be about 600mm long as standard, so I'm getting a nice plenum made up that will bolt onto a modded bottom half of the standard inlet, which will then have the TB mounted on the side.
It will mean that the EGR connection port on the TB spacer (that wasn't used on this model anyway) will now be 'free' for me to squirt something else into. Should be a giggle, just gotta check that my idea will work

Not for now, but I will have to get a 'cap' made off for the port that goes into the TB from where the EGR circuit would normally be plumbed in. I'm thinking that this cap 'could' be an ideal place to put a laughing gas nozzle once it's all run in and set up. Might be worth a laugh, but I don't know what you need to do to set them up, nor whether you can run them on a standard ECU.

What news on the head? Any?

Will try again on Monday, but it's got to be with me by Tuesday/Wednesday or there's officially NO chance. It's about a three hour job to fit the head, then the cam belt casings, tensioners etc. Then I can trim out the excess on the flip front, so by Saturday I could be on my way to the MOT centre with an unpainted front end. IF I can get that done I can start the running in process and just get enough miles in before the trip......... It's not very realistic is it?

We'll see, I've worked damn hard over the last few weeks on it, so it'd be a damn shame if I can't do it. These things are sent to try us though.
Need to spend some more moolar on reducer hoses and stuff too. Also, I've found a pair of Sparco seats I can borrow from work, wHeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Brand spankers that were set aside for a project that's now dead, just gotta persuade the MD to let me have em.

FReaK is back on all fours, like she should be, the dirty little...............

I'd forgotten how sexy those alloy 4 pots looked!

Started on my wiring today, but need to order some more 100a cable for the battery feed to the starter, then I can get the main power loom sorted.
camber set by iPhone LMAO!

Jayare- Yeah, will get some pics up of the manifold when it's back with me. Should only be a couple of days I hope!

I look forward to seeing it at brands.
Just out of interest, who is your front made by, it looks like a pretty good one? (Sorry if you've already mentioned it)
