I dunno who fitted the front end, but it was a pap job on the wings!

First off, I started to cut the wings at around the level I want to keep the inner wing untouched, then I got bored. I grabbed the wings under the wheel arches and yanked upwards and forwards. The spot welds did a nice little cascade failure up the A-panel seams and then down the inner wing to wing seam. Pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop.

It buckled the A-panels a little, but they needed replacing anyway as they've been cut for the 7x13" rims that were on it when I bought it.

Poor little mini. She'll never be true to her heritage again... Unless I change my mind again! :) ;)

Anyway, more wiring done today! ;D :ermm:

Now with ICE!

Got a new Sony CD player with USB connection thingy for my MP3 player today, so I made a small speaker board for under the rear bench. Yet to be finished and carpeted over, but I've also made up the loom for fitting it all. Fired it up and the 10 year old 6x9s are still working! :(

I think I need either some serious help, or some divine inspiration! :ermm:

Every time I try and get stuck into working on the car, I just seem to get nowhere with it.

I think I need to treat this car like I would a project at work. Make a list of all the outstanding jobs and then tackle them one by one, with a deadline against each job. Need to project manage it :ermm: :)

I just seem to start on one thing, then notice something else, drop the job I was intending to do in favour of another one, then not finish either job! :)

Or, perhaps I just need a lottery win so I an get someone to do all the work for me! :goaway:

Ah well, one flitch panel's pretty much finished off, then I can tackle the other side tomorrow night. I think I'm going to start doing a little bit every night on it now. Every time I try to work on it at the weekend, I just get too distracted with stuff.

Might ban myself from using the internet for a while too! :dontgetit:

I do that alot. I start jobs and never finish them on mine but just keep at it. I also like looking at projects to keep me going, like this one in fact.

Matt I know how you feel.

I think we all have days where no matter how hard we try we just can't seem to get anything done. Take a step back, don't let it aggrovate you and come back the next day with a clear head and a flask of tea and away you go!

I'm trying to build my 1275 up and looking at your thread (especially with all these other engines making guest appearances) is not doing my wandering mind any good. It keeps screaming "Sell this slow thing and get a vxl lump in there man!" and then the sane part of my brain comes in and mutters something about insurance.

This post doesn't make me look insane at all.

Keep up the progress mate .
