Yeah, I know, it's actually waaay too curved for the aperture. It's getting scrapped soon anyway. It'll do until I can afford to get another one and get the bodywork done though.

mine looks a bit like that at the moment but i have just put a new rubber on and it makes the lid stick out loads and also almost impossible to shut!!

Yeah, this one's got a new rubber on it. But even with the rubber off it's still no better. It's too curvy! 
Anyway, might just go for a steel one when it gets painted.

What about if you used fiberglass to bond the skin to a steel boot lid frame? Surely the frame would help hold it to the right amount of curve? That's what I'm intending to do when I do mine.Yeah, this one's got a new rubber on it. But even with the rubber off it's still no better. It's too curvy!

Just a suggestion, as I really like that boot lid on your car.

Or maybe use G-clamps or F-clamps to pin it to a steel bootlid for a few weeks?

aaaaaand, I put a chequered roof kit on it last night, but I don't like it!
It's staying on for now, but one day, when I can afford it, it's coming off and Imma get a full on treat where the bodyshell's concerned!
