Weeeeeell, I've got a tiny bit of an update.....

I've been a bit icky over the last month or so, so not much work's been done at all in the garage :P

BUT, I've got my new Yoko's on. I'm a bit gutted that NOBODY had A032R's in stock and that I had to go for the A008s instead, but meh, they're all good. These will do until the new year when the A032Rs are back in stock. Apparently, they only do limited runs of them and they aren't making any until the New Year.

Anyway, I've also been playing with the timing setup to try and get her running ploply, so she's a little better now. Might do a video at some point, but I CBA at the mo!

Wheels and new tyres back on

Need some new wheel nuts too, mine are well shabby. Also, some are 3/4" hex and some are 11/16" hex :P that's handy!

The new tyres are possibly a little too narrow for the rims to be honest. IIRC Yoko recommend 5.5" max wheel width on the 165/70x10s and I've got 6" wide wheels, but my tyre guy says it'll be fine! :ermm:

Going for MOT next weekend!!! :ermm:

Anyway, small update, she runs (with a bit of popping and banging), the brakes are bled, I've bought a rivnut kit and refitted the front seat as the captive nuts in the crossmember needing replacing, the whole shabang is nearly complete.

So, once it's MOT'd (if it passes) it's time to go to the good old rolling road and finally get her setup properly!!! :w00t:

Actually, I forgot, I still need to fit the door trimmings and handles etc. but other than that, she's actually finished! ;)

I know ;) nowhere had bleedin A032s in stock and they couldn't get them as Yokohama apparently only make them in batches, rather than all year round. Anyway, they're gonna be good for road tyres for now and I'm gonna get myself some mud and snow tyres for another set of wheels and for playing around the country lanes :proud:

Plus I'm gonna get a set of A032s when they're back in stock (before I go to the ring in August).

The idea was originally to make a proper airbox for the weber, with a connection for the breather pipes, but as always, I never got around to it. It's kinda a temporary fix (read bodge) for now :proud:

really quiet, when compared to straight cut transfer gears, roller rockers with a 0.016" clearance and a Weber 45 sucking like a trooper! :teehee:

Nah, to be honest it's a little noisy, but the car's running so rough at the moment that it's hardly the biggest of things that I've noticed :D
