Trying to get a desent pic of a black car indoors is a PITA.
you have about the same amout of work as me to do

Look at all of the dust!

I need to paint inside the boot too. There was some really thick sealant on there, which the likkle petrol leak has removed for me, free of charge!

So now, the rubbish thick sealant has gone, new paint is needed. Time for spray cans I'm afraid.... Maybe spray primer and then smooth Hammerite finish.....

Oh, I bought some more stuff from Minispares yesterday too, should get here tomorrow hopefully. Extra gearbox steady as recommended by the TMF gurus (I see you reading Graeme C!! ) and also some sundries, little switches and the like.

I know, I know, phone pics!

Anyway, tyres and rims need sorting because two of the tyres have slow punctures, so they either need repairing or replacing. I thought that would be a good time to refurb the wheels to be honest.

You're right though, I just need to get it on the road. I'm going to phone the engine tuner up today and book an RR/setup session for it!

Hopefully, he'll be able to get the geometry set up on it too.

Small update, got a new engine/gearbox steady from Minispares, got me dash sorted, but mainly this weekend I have been chopping up one of the other minis and trying to tidy up my mum's garage

This is the gearbox steady:

It's the one that goes from the back of the gearbox to the subframe.

Looking like your making lots of progess since I last looked, but is it not running yet?

Can I be cheeky to ask if, when you fit the gearbox mount, can I get a piccy on how its fitted? As I'd like to fit 2 extra steadies to my engine, but have no idea how a second lower mount would fit...

It does run, but is overfuelling like mad I think. Basically, if it don't start first time, it floods like mad. I've been tied up doing all of the other stuff that's needed to get it on the road, then I can spend a day having a proper go at setting it up..... I've still gotta get it checked over and set up properly by someone that knows what they're doing, but I am struggling to save up the moolar for an RR session to be honest (hence me selling loads of bits recently).

Regulator? Yeah, filter king job. I've tried tweaking it, but it's just that I aint spent enought time tweaking.

Like I've said, I'm really just concentrating on the other stuff before I really hit the engine tuning. It's all gotta get done no matter what, so I may as well do it now.

This is how the dash was looking as of this morning. It's the second switch panel I've had to make, the first one had too large a hole for the push button



The push button's got a light in it that I've bodged made to accept a normal mini dash light bulb. That'll be on all the time that the ignition light is on
