Dunno what kinda figures really. I've always thought that 100 bananas would be a nice figure, it should be capable of that, but my target was always kinda sub 8 second 0-60 times and for it to be just fun and reasonably fast. Sure, it'd be nice if it makes over 100bhp, but I don't want to set a figure and be disappointed when it doesn't make it.


Anyway, more to come this weekend. Still got the O/S front wing to tidy up where there was a dent, then I've got to sort out the screw holes from all the Sportpack arches I'm not really sure on the best technique to fill them to be honest.

You never know, it may be ready to drive to the engine tuner that's going to set up the carb in a couple of weeks!

Ummm, not as yet. I've got so much carp around the car in the garage that I'd have to move it all to take a decent picture. Oooh, or I could drive it out if it'd run for more than two seconds!

Fapping arches! I got a problem........

The FReaK was on Sportpack arches, but I want to fit these group 2s. Not a problem? OOOOOH yes it is. Problem is that the arches have been cut out so high and so far forward that the new arches won't fit properly. I'm going to either have to go back to Sportpack arches, or get a flipping flip front fitted now. I didn't want to do it yet, but never mind!

Any ides about other arches anyone??? And, how the fap can I fill the 6-7mm holes where the Sportpack arches were fitted? What's the best technique? I guess to do it ploply I should weld some metal onto the back of the hole, then fill it and smooth it....

Anyway, here's how she's sitting now...



Oooh oooh, and the exhaust's fitted. I used a rear hanger kit from Minisport, but it's hanging too low so I need to bend it a little so it sits higher.

dunno how well fiberglass sticks to metal, but you could hang some fiberglass down from inside the arch and then build it up, thus re-forming the arch thats been cut away... tho that said, its a fair bit of work and involves a re-spray on the front. If ur planin to do a flappy front id just leave the pose packs on till you do.

Didn't think about this before.... because im gonna be changing my posepack for wide grp 2's too... just something else im gonna ave to sort out i guess. just noticed it seems we're both going for similar mods to each other - 10's, wide grp 2's, black on carbon, both deciding to paint the carbon now (i think i read thats what ur doing?) Look forward to seeing the end result tho, i'd imagine they'll be two very different styles.

Saying that, I trashed them taking them off because all of the bonded in studs ripped out

I might just set the fapping thing on fire to be honest!

Them studs are rubbish.... drill out the holes where the studs went into and use raw plugs and wood screws as a temporary measure, i tried absolutly everything to get mine to stay on but once those studs come out its game over.... £120 arches down the pan, the only way i could get em to stay on was with raw plugs

Gonna have a think about it tonight. to be honest I'm not sure which looks worse, Sportpap arches or the arches that are on there now, sitting too high.

Nah, they'd look pap too. I dunno what to do, Sportpap arches and 10s look stoopid (unless they're 7 x 10 splits)
