Well then ,this'll be a photo of the 4 pots which are now fitted. Just need to put the retaining shim things in there.

I'm wondering whether to use this dash (that I had bought for the roadster) or stick with the black Sportpack dash???

Umm, random piccy of untidy engine bay!

Man, if only it was red, white and blue!!! :P

I do like the way the engine bay's looking to be honest, but it costs a hell of a lot to really get them looking sleek! Well, it would if I didn't nick things like the stainless hose clips and anodised hose finishers etc. from work!

MiniSpares send you a top hose that is too long as well? I had to cut an inch or two off mine!

Yeah, it does say that they're too long and to trim them to size. I dunno if it's because they are multi-fit? Dunno if the clubman rad was further out or something? Unless they're a standard hose that fits a lot of applications? Either way, it aint trimmed down yet obviously. :)

Ze FReaK is back on all fours!!!!

Got to borrow some gauges to set up the geometry somewhere near though.

After swapping from the Metro hubs to mini hubs, my tracking is a little off (read, massively off).

Anyway, that's the suspension, brakes, steering (apart from tracking) all back on and looking good. The head's due to be finished off tonight (finally).......

Still to sort.......

Gear lever to be mounted inside and the linkage to be 'fabricated'. I am missing the retaining cup to hold the lever into the base. I've already tried to butcher one gear linkage assembly to add two UJ's in there and have an internal linkage, but that went a little wrong, so I got another one! :dozing:

Mmmm, KAD 'quickshift'

I think I'm gonna stick with this dash as per original plans:

In place of the radio I am having a little switch panel (ignition on, fuel on, start button), but the wiper and headlight switches are probably going to be re-routed to inbetween the seats, on a little switch panel.

Oh yeah, the FReaK on all fours again:

Posted Image

It's great, I can push it around now and make 'VROOOM VROOOM, WOP WOP, VROOOOOOOOOOOM' noises! :dozing:

Note to self:

Don't forget to bleed the brakes

Ahhh fair enough....
I was thinking of running Megajolt later on in the life of my engine, as I can set up a dizzy at home, and use it for the running in process...

But, how easy is it to install megajolt?

Have you fitted your trigger wheel and sender yet? If so would you be able to sort out some pics of how you have mounted the sender. Did you make your own or did you buy one in?

Sorry for all the Q's lol

I used the Specialist Components trigger wheel and pickup mount. Very good piece of kit, but it takes up a lot of room there!

Changing the fan belt is going to be fun!!! :dozing:

Using that kit makes it very easy to install. The wiring is easy, I bought all of the second hand Ford bits in a bundle off ebay and have made up my own section of adapter loom. I've just got to mount the MJLJR inside the cabin (probably in the glove box) and route my new loom.

Well, to be honest I've nicked a little bit of stuff from work, but we don't do supplies of that sorta stuff and all we've really got in stock is the odd anodised hose finisher etc. But I've bought some other stuff from James Lister and sons. Or generally rally type places like Merlin Motorsport.
