Wowzers, got the engine and subby in today! Checked the clearance for the DCOE in the bulkhead box and it's perfick! :D

*pats self on back*

I put it in without the rad for now, but it all went in really easy to be honest. Just a bit of lifting, a bit of jacking and Bob's yer Uncle! :genius:

Got to put the hubs on yet, but the engine is pretty complete now, just a little bit of head work to finish off. Had a look at the ports on a Slark race head today to get some ideas of how much more I can take out of mine and I reckon there's still some scope for the old die-grinder to do some more work!

Feel pretty chuffed about gettin the engine back in!

hi again Matt :)

Yep, got some on my phone, *hides from Mini93* so I'll upload em at work with my Dongle ( <---tee hee) tomorrow!

Was hoping to get the head finished off today, but I ended up helping lay a patio instead :)

Have just had the sudden realisation that I need to sort my cooling out. I am gonna go for a new rad and some silicone hoses from Minispares I think. Not sure whether to go for a two-core doofah or not???

:) Don't look at the Weber box too close! I used a seam sealer around it after I'd welded it in and it looks a bit messy now it's painted! Not very happy with that bit, but I need to crack on so I'll try and make it better before the head goes on.

Dongle ( <---tee hee) tomorrow!

Lol, is that a new word you have discovered. LOL i too like that word. I leaned it back in 98 when i went to work for an IT based controls company. Its an american word if you hadnt guessed :w00t: Use it often :P it just rolls off the tongue....Dong...gle... Ha Ha

Also, good stuff, a man who gets his hands dirty. Now stop falling over in the dirt and get it running :)

Two core rad all the way
