Matt - when you've set up your mini with megajolt... is there a way you can send me your map?
Just mine is so simular to yours, the advance etc could be spot on! - well enough to stop it pinking to the RR.

Yeah, should be able to no probs.

Have been in the garage for a while this morning, took some piccies of the engine, but have left em blooming USB cable at work (I think), so mini93 will have to wait til Monday for better engine pics! :)

Have made a Weber box up, the first attempt was a pile of poop! The second one came out better though! :)

Have also spent a lot of time today tidying up the garage, ,it was a bit of a mess to say the least

The front subframe bolts came out nice and easy, as did most of the bolts that I had to undo today. The existing FReaK engine and subby is now pretty much ready to drop out of the bottom, so I am going to be spending the week nights next building up the front subby, dropping the engine into it etc. and then hopefully next weekend I will be able to put it all back under the car! :1eye:

Soooo, the engine is now complete (apart from some more head work). I just need to sort out the gearshift location, mount it inside the car, buy a couple of UJ's to mount the shifter inside the car etc.

It's slowly coming together! YAAAY

This is the state of the garage now. It desperately needs a tidy up!
I have been out and bought a workbench from Halfrauds (not bad for £39.99, was supposed to be £79.99). I did put that together yesterday and it's helped with space a little as it has some extra storage and a pegboard on the back of it. I really need to shift some of the spares that I have accumulated!!! More for sale ads soon methinks! =]

Money shot 3!!!! :w00t: :w00t:
This one shows where I'll be mounting the coil pack (on a little bracket mounted on the two threaded bosses at the front of the transfer case). It also shows how I'll be routing the wiring for the pick up (well, roughly). It's a screened cable (about 8mm diameter) and I am going to P-clip it to the dizzy clamp, one of the gearbox bolts near the front of the engine and also a couple of the flywheel cover bolts. I am a bit unhappy with the finish of the engine paint, so I tried to touch it up a little and spilt some on me flippin alternator bracket, so that now needs touching up! :P

I am really tempted to ditch the 3-1 and just use the Maniflow PH2 LCB (large bore) instead. But I do want to try the 3-1, just to see what it's like. It'll be no biggy to change it if I don't like it, or if it really is a torque-sapping pile O poop!

That is mini number 2 (AKA Project shed), which is being scrapped due to a series of SERIOUS bodges that were well hidden (well, filled sills, papered over holes, all covered with fresh paint)! The roof is being cut off and will be used to cover the back seats on mini number 1 (AKA 1985 roadster) which is also where the new front end off mini number 2 will be going (upwards opening all steel flip front)! :P Or something along those lines! =]

I guess that piccy doesn't actually belong in this project thread! Oooopsies!
