Can't wait to see this all back together

By god they're better than mk1 doors - built one and bolted it on in 1/2 an hour. Doors on the van took days, and they're still *melon*!
I've swapped the cam and timing gear for my MG metro setup, and started cleaning the engine up ready for painting it as well.

I had a nice parcel from trigger wheels the other day, and I've now got everything I need for my MJ setup. I know it can be had for cheaper if you shop around, but I couldnt be bothered to scrat around in a scrappy - my time is valuable

Also got the master cylinders in and piped up, except the lower one on the brakes, which has a bloody great big tube nut on it, and I dont have one anywhere in the garage.

Fitted the nearside door glass as well, which was a right bugger because that door has a side impact bar. Went to do the offside one and one of the runners was rusted right up and popped off, so thats something else for the next minispares order...

It's making me want to paint mine that colour :|, is it hard to lay down? Expensive?

Got loads done lately. Bolted the trigger wheel to the pulley, put it on the engine and made the sensor bracket:

Got a 12mm tube nut at bingley hall so I could finish the brake piping, and dropped the engine in:

Also fitted the gearchange and exhaust, almost everything underneath it is finished now. I got a new window channel, so the windows in both doors are done now. Picked up doorcards at bingley hall, and found a pair of window winders for £2.50 in the autojumble that match my existing handles! just need the door release handles now and I've got the full set...

Got the rear side windows in too, hopefully they'll be a lot more leak proof than the opening ones were...

Made a start on the wiring tonight, I've almost finished the engine bay! I'm gonna make a seperate loom for the MJ so if anything goes wrong with it I'll be able to find it easier.

Been very busy with it again - pretty much all the electrics work now (ones I can test so far anyway), the VR sensor is plugged in, the EDIS is mounted and wired up, and the MJ is mounted and the loom is almost done for that. Put the wiper motor in and it works, then found the thread is fubar on one of the wheel boxes, so I'll have to pull it out again and swap it.
EDIS and MJ:

Coils:

The trigger wheels kit is great - comes with brand new connectors so you make your loom exactly how you want it. Very happy with it. I also ordered headlamps from minits yesterday afternoon, they were here this morning

Left to do is the fuel pump, some extra relays for the headlamps, get and fit an alarm, and get gauges and fit them in the dash. Expensive bits

Fuel pump:

Parcel shelf:

Engine bay about done - just need to plate up the hole in the middle now

Wiring is beginning to get tidier behind the dash:

I've got the clocks ordered as well, they should be here pretty soon. But I think that between work, seeing the missus and doing up the house I'll be struggling to have it done for L2B... We'll see I guess.

I don't know how I managed to miss so many updates on this!
Looks to be coming along brilliantly!
Are those headlamps Wipac Freeforms? They look similar to mine.
Going to subscribe to this now so I don't miss any more .
