ok bit of an update, only things left to do are tracking and front wheel geometry.

BUT

im having a nightmare trying to insure it, i can get insured but with the cage they want a ridiculous amount, being under 25 or something, anyways its a great shame but i might have to sell it as i wont be able to afford to have it on the road. So basically just wondering if people would be interested, it'd be sold with 12 MOT and 6 Tax, so you can drive it straight away.

shell is brand new condition no rust at all, new bushes, nuts and bolts everywhere. the underside is completely sealed and coated, shouldnt rust for a good few years. It has a cut down rear subframe - mint condition, newly painted, GAZ coilovers all around, 2 sparco sprint V bucket seats with sparco harnesses, alloy fuel tank i made myself (might keep that not sure), new filter and oil only been run for 5 hours or so on new oil, steel front end is removeable NOT flipflap crap, dashboard from theSTIG on here fitted with 3 clock dials - just needs painting. has 12" steel wheels on it, i have 4 6x10 weller all with brand new tyres but will need wings cutting and arches fitting that will go with it for the right price.

no idea about money for it just seeing if theres much interest if there is then ill start considering what i think it worth.

Why not just remove the cage for the time being and then put it back once insurance deems it possible?

passed MOT last week, it failed on a single rear number plate light not working but the guy passed it and said just fix the bulb. turned out the bulb had just fallen out of place. insured it the other day with adrian flux too. the exopensive insurance would have been about the same price as buying an insuring a shed car so thought it was worth it. few bits to sort and the car is no where near finished but at least now its a rolling project!

car is fun to drive, bit noisy- need sound proofing on bulkhead and plugging holes in floor. clearing the condensation of the screen is a nightmare when i sort the dash out with proper switches i will need to put a 12v socket for a plug in heater. need to get a sucker thing for the rear view mirror too - any idea where i can get one of those?

tries to kill me twice, first time driving properly on the road the float pivot screw worked itself out of the carb on the way back so lost power, lots of fuel all over the hot manifold no fire started though. second time was driving in the pouring rain the wipers decided to break - couldnt see anything.

the engine problem - it shudders at half throttle between 2-3k i think the needle is too lean in the middle. its currently a BDL i think not sure.

suspension needs sorting out properly too, the ride height need adjusting as harsh bumps in the road hit the bumpstops and hurt my teeth. maybe needs corner weights doing too.

apart from the its all good!
