Hi all, I'm having a bit of trouble with my Minis "main beam", to put it into my own terms since I know I'll mess it up, I mean main beam as in the lights you have on when driving around a night, not the ones for blinding others and not the ones for driving around in the day but you want to be seen. I was driving home in the dark and randomly the headlights were flicking between main beam and dipped before staying as dipped. I've done a bit of testing, my horn works fine, indicators all fine, hazards fine, flash works perfect. When I push the instrument panel switch to position one "middle click" the sidelights come on, when I push the switch fully on to main beam, nothing changes it's still on sidelights but my clocks light comes on and brake lights etc. all work too? so far I've replaced the switch itself, changed all fuses on the fusebox (though I'm sure that they don't relate to the main beam itself but still part of the "fault finding") found two inline fuses just above where the wiper motor is and swapped them and checked behind the grille just by the starter motor for any bullet connectors but all I can find a spaghetti junction of wires, no bullet connectors and also none of them blue/white though there is mass of wires wrapped up in black tape as far as the starter motor itself. I've also checked the multiplug that comes from the left hand stalk which is pristine and looks all fine? I did also find that the high beams (the ones that blind people) doesn't come on when the switch is set to main beam either, no lights appear on the clocks to tell me I've got the high beams on too? I don't suppose anyone has any advice for the weird issue my poor minis got as I feel like I've checked the entire forum and not yet found one similar to mine Cheers
