    Starting My Mini Up

Hi Folks,
Started my mini for the first time in a couple of months there and started no problems with choke on.
Once heated up I pushed the choke back in and let the car run for 20mins.

Got in to start the car the next day and the choke won't knob won't come out at all. It's like it's stuck in locked. I've turned it anti clockwise as far as it all go to unlock it but it just won't budge.

I've checked under the bonnet and tried feeding more cable through but that isn't the issue either.

It's just like the knob on the dash is stuck in that lock and turning it won't unlock it now.

Have searched YouTube and forums and couldnt find anything similar

Any advise greatly appreciated

is the choke cable melted? if your engine earth is bad it can melt the cable. think its more common on the heater tap cable though.

I would agree with Avtovaz about bad engine earth and melting the choke cable , also it could be the inner cable has frayed,I would disconnect the cable from the carburettor then see if the cable moves freely  then check the choke mechanism isn't stuck, let us know how you get on, good luck.
