Use the pinned wiring diagrams and if the loom is fairly original the colours will help you find their homes.Steve..

Sorry does any body have a printed diagram for a 1983 Mayfair non ballast ignition I believe
It’s odd that I have the generic wires which are normally connected to the Lucas style 4 fuse box but I have a 5 wires one side and 6 the other
It’s a brand new loom and is exactly the same as the original
But unfortunately didn’t take it apart so don’t know where they go 🙈

By the way, although its four fuses some of the fuses handle more than one wire hence why you've got 5 and 6 wires respectively

Thanks that’s great it seems I have 2x brown on one side and 2x green/orange on the other
Shall I connect them to the same number but to the pin on the underside if you know what I mean
There is 8 pins in total on the the 4 fuse fuse box (4 each side ) on top and underneath
Thanks
