Love the split weber setup, would be my ultimate 5 port dream. Do you need to modify the bulkhead? That is something I wouldn't want to do.

No mods no.

At the time of the rolling road session
mine was 1380, 37/31 MED offset valve clubman head, 11.5:1cr, MED FIA15 historic race cam 1.5 ldx rockers, modified twin hs4's on a large bore maniflow intake, MED stubstacks, maniflow 3:1 and race rcm.
It made just shy of 140bhp at just over 7000rpm and 110ftlbs torque on HT Racings rollers.
FIA 15 cam was found to be worn out during last refresh and has been replaced with an SW23 as MED no longer make the FIA15. Also now running swiftune ram pipes. Need to get it back to the rolling road to be setup again.

Very impressive. Also the graph. And doing it with SU's.

Not on the Metro.

we got better results with the IDA but hillclimbing

The headline for my races says hill climbing but there is not many hills in denmark so its more a 1 person short asfalt rally sprint through a forest

Said Metro setting the class record it held for just short of 12 years.

yes Denmark is a bit flat but some of you pop over to Sweden IIRC as well.

Very nice. Looks well driving. Dont think i have seen that metro before. How did you like handling round tight corners with that wide wheels? I find that much more than standard offset/et makes it scrub the front wheels

I dont know what the danish historic reg. People would say to a carb out the bonnet

There was not much in the front suspension that was Metro.

lets just say a 750kg car with about 130 horses could not be beaten by Minis with the same  power but weighed about 450-500kg!

it took untill the twin cam headed engines became readily available that Minis of 450kg and 170+ BHP beat its time.

I have thought about this as im also in class with minis and they seem beatable with my old less powerfull engine. Is that all down to a larger track and whellbase you think?

I also have the RCM and can’t remember if the diameters are the same both ends.

I might need one of those RCM cones, but I dont know how to make that fit under a metro with that fuel tank location.

do you know what the length of the rcm cone / silencer is?

is your rear silencer the same as the one Imack has, that giant center one?

Nope mine is a custom one.

have you still got the spare wheel well in the boot floor? (We had the fuel tank there under an alloy sheet). If not you could just make it work. But I think it would be a lot of work.

yes. spare wheel well in place. I always liked the standard fuel tank location with regards to weight and center of gravity and not having to renew a tank like I would have to with a real race tank in the boot, but I see your point. fitting a tank inside the car in the spare wheel well will allow me more space for exhaust stuff.

I can weld in a rcm silencer no problem, my doubt is whether I haven the space in length after the gearchange mecanism and back to the bend.

if your rear box is a custom one then most likely that strange huge silencer rear box is not essential to the system but its the rcm that does the "trick"

It is the Maniflow one. Entry is 2", exit I think might be 2 1/4".
I'll check it this evening, and I'll check the length. It's actually oval in profile, not sure I'll have room to measure the height.

Many thanks. Having the length will help me
