I think this gives a clue to the answer:


I've cleaned that up now and insulated the bare connectors, just to rule that area out. I'll hopefully take it for a drive tonight, see if anything pops, then have the dash out to investigate further.

Something to bare in mind when using blade fuses is that they're rated differently to glass type fuses.

I believe glass are rated for blow (so a 35A fuse will blow at 35A)

And blade are continuous rated (so a 35A fuse is seeing nearly double that to blow)

I'm happily corrected on this, it's been a while for me!

I've no idea what these would have originally been when they were glass fuses. They've obviously been replaced at some point.
