Hi All!

This is my first post on the forum, I've just picked up a mini and trying to get up to speed with all of the specs and need a bit of help with this one.

I have a 1973 Australian Leyland Mini Clubman S, from what I can understand, it should probably have a 998cc engine with a "99H" Prefix engine number. However, I have a 10YCTAH engine prefix which points to a Morris Mini K 1098cc engine. So what I am assuming is this mini has had an engine swap with a bigger Mini K engine installed.

Can anyone point me in the direction on confirming my theory?

Thanks all!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

It should have an 1100 engine, with a prefix of 1015. These were a locally assembled 1100 engine.

It was after the move from Zetland and locally assembled stocks dwindled later in 1975 that they were fitted with a fully imported 998 engine, with a prefix of 99H.

The 10YCTAH would have come from a Morris 1100. These were also locally assembled.

Awesome thank you for the information! I can finally understand the puzzle as looking up the engine code to model was just not making sense.

Glad to have the answer now.

Thanks!

Adding to Spiders info it may have had a 1001, 1009 or 1010 prefix 1098cc engine depending on its exacrt build date.
