Mintex 1144's are great in my 7.9" brakes.
Previously had standard Ferrodo which I thought were OK, but they weren't a patch on the 1144's.

Do both rears lock up?- or one first ? I have had one bearing/hub just catching and locking up - almost imperceptible when spinning only - but new bearing and was able to be adjusted?
Assuming you have checked and discounted rear drums / shoes as well as your other explorations.

It certainly appeared that both rear wheels were locking up.
