Hey All,

I'm considering a chin spoiler/front lip sold by Steveston Motor Co:  https://stevestonmot...-mini-front-lip

I have a 1997 JDM car and I feel like this is a JDM-type of modification.

Anyone have experience fitting one?  how does it handle speed bumps?

I don't but I like the look of it.  It doesn't look much deeper than the standard front valence so shouldn't pose any problems unless you run the car very low in which case you'll probably be scraping the exhaust and risking the sump anyway.  There are some interesting things on their website - it's nice to see some different items to the usual Mini stuff.

It looks a bit 'speed bump vulnerable, but if you have Hi-Lo's it's easy to raise the front a small amount to reduce the likelihood of damaging it.

Having ran a mclean bros chin for a good 5 years on a lowered and tubbed Mini, you have nothing to worry about, you’ll rip your exhaust off before even touching a front chin, even on steep ramp angles.

good to know...i do indeed have hi-lows installed but I'm not mechanically inclined so I haven't messed with them yet.  My mechanic just did a full refresh of the suspension and other things, so it's riding high at the moment.
