Hi, I have a Rover mini 2000 and was wondering do i replace the alternator with the same spec one or is there any benefit to getting a uprated one with 95A from bowers automotive.

It’s listed on ebay

Unless you have lots of aux things running, like extra spotlights and the like, I think a standard one would be fine, at least that’s what Minispares says.

I would also go with a standard alt. unless needed. The OEM struggles a bit when heavy draws are used (high beams, fog lights + running lights). I've replaced some of the running lights bulbs with LED and the struggles are gone.
