Imagine all that cash being held in the eBay account and the interest accrued before it's passed on to the seller.
Unbelievable are these big corps.

I've only just started selling again on eBay due to them dropping the main selling fees. This latest development looks designed to push you towards using their labelling service, as this will inform them as soon as it's been delivered. Extra cost. I have items on there at the moment and I think I'll be relying on the customer to provide feedback before I get paid. If this becomes problematic, due to buyers not always leaving feedback, then it'll get sacked off once again.

The labelling service is great. Back when that started it was poor, but it’s accurate now, not any more expensive to the seller. In fact you can select to add extra on top for packing, which the buyer can’t see. Also it’s linked direct to Royal Mail, so when it’s delivered it says in your account.
This new change for not getting paid until 2 days after delivery is simply to protect the buyer, they hold the funds to make sure you dont post them a box of cereal in the place of an Xbox or whatever.
I don’t believe you have to wait for feedback to get paid, as not everyone does it, if we do, then yes problematic.

Thanks Beardy. My mistrust and paranoia of all these big outfits means I instantly suspected a scam, regarding the labelling service, and didn't look into it fully. I'll consider it if I use them again soon. Another thing I'll say, those buttons for extra services, like promoting an item for extra £%, need moving to another place on the app. They are right in the line of fire when you go to click another button.

I've shifted a lot of my Dad's spares that we didn't need for the restoration via eBay - thanks to anyone here that's bought anything!  Though it's always a pain when you've specified "Collection", and the buyer asked for postage.

The labelling was a pest over Christmas when they would let a buyer choose Yodel, then wouldn't let me pick it, as Yodel couldn't cope with the volumes!
