£'s,?
No mention of an 'extension connector' so that you can check the pressure of the Spare Tyre.

that's all well and good but are normal people going to be allowed to fit it
last I heard when someone tried to do this they got dragged over the coals about drilling a hole in the wrong place, it seems the DVLA (IVA?) don't want people doing this sort of thing themselves
in some ways, possibly for the best because you don't want some numpty messing about with high voltage, but still there's plenty of guys in sheds who are far more than capable of using a bit of common sense and doing it properly

Does not need any modifications to the original car.

fair enough but it still has to pass an MOT doesn't it, all it needs is for some jobsworth to find a reason to fail it

You would only want to do it to see if you can make it work, there is no other reason...If you really must go electric buy a Honda E, it'll drive better and cost less and still has a certain charm. While your at it rip out your Rolex watch movement and put in a nice quartz one...

The main issue I have with converting old cars to EV is that it's not green due to the low mileage that will likely be driven and the technology is moving so quickly that the conversion will be old hat within a few years, which means it'll likely get ripped out and replaced with a newer one.
I can, however, see a future where a lightweight battery (whatever tech comes after lithium?) and small hub motors replace the rear drums adding let's say 100bhp on demand, making a classic overall more efficient while keeping the character of the car. That's a while off though I think.
