Don't use an oil additive, such as 'Liqui-Moly' or 'Wynns' in a Mini. It shares the oil with the gearbox and the syncros don't like additives. What the gearboxes do like is zinc at a minimum of 1200 ppm.

Thank you, yes that's the same as most of the info I found on the issue. The reason I decided to use Ravenol is some locals did the research and found the Ravenol to have the highest zinc of the oils fairly easily available.
