Just got back from Egypt, early this morning. Can't grudge you that.

Is there going to be space to park at Brighton if a load of Minis turn up with the general public or has a space been reserved? Will probably go whichever.

We went in 24 and it was busy but we were fairly late getting there and it was perfect weather.

We were mixed with the gen pop, in '24, but with a bit of luck and effort we should be able to get a decent showing this year.

Parking at Brighton is unreserved. There is usually plenty of availability on Madeira Drive (or Marine Parade)

If loads of minis turn up it could be carnage lol. Just thinking would the 500 mile round trip be worth it?

If loads turned up perhaps Brighton might embrace the event.

Look what Hastings did with the Mayday Locksbottom to Hastings Motorcycle Run? They suspend parking regulations and provide free motorcycle parking.

"The Mayday Run involves thousands of motorbikes taking a 55-mile (89 km) trip from Greater London, Locksbottom to the Hastings, East Sussex, seafront.

That event has been taking place for almost 30 years now and has grown in interest from around the country, both commercially and publicly. The event is not officially organised: the police only manage the traffic, and volunteers manage the parking."

I was there, on my Laverda, in '79.

It all started when a few local bikers, while figuring out what to do on the newly created Bank Holiday, decided to take a run to Hastings and, in a pre-mobile phone/pre-internet world, it grew and grew.

Little acorns and all that!

It'd be good if it became an annual event. Only booked on to one L2B and that got cancelled due to covid. Quite fancy it to be honest

Hi,

As I understand it Brighton authorities are or were happy to host The L to B Mini run.

What killed it was Sadiq Khan's ULEZ and LSMOC could not find a suitable starting point at the London end.
