I have a 1973 Vanden Plas Princess 1300, he is known as Henry ! I hasten to add that I did not give him the name, he is in Damson red, has a highly tuned 1275 cc eng, had everything done, including the fitting of a SUPERCHARGER ! !

He is very fast and been raced around Goodwood, has plenty of paperwork, not had much of a chance to have fun with him, pity, may have to offload him to  a better home.

The reason I joined the Mini forum was well he is a bigger Mini ! Also I have never heard of a Supercharged car like mine, I know it is common on the mini cars, I am a bit out of my comfort zone with him, but I will get there, I hope, any advice would be welcome indeed.

Thanks in advance,

Clem

I may add that I have lots of Mini gasket sets, loads of it etc etc.

I do admire your enthusiasm., not to say, eccentricity.

All the way from Scotland, to drive un-sedately, round Goodwood, but how delightful to be sat on the grid in something as pretentious as Vanden Plas.

I knew of a Riley Kestrel that was supercharged, to tow a caravan

Sounds interesting! Any pictures?
I had an absolute nail of a VP1300 in the early 90s. Knackered but very comfy compared to my Clubman.
Ref the colour, my dad bought an Austin 1300 Countryman brand new in the 70s. It was Damask Red so maybe yours is the same (not damson). It's amazing the stuff I can remember from 50 years ago when I can't often remember what I went into the garage for! I also remember the reg was NVP172M!
