Coming up again on sale for a week at Lidl from Sunday 12th January 2025:-

Bearing in mind the price and the brand (includes battery and charger) don't expect too much performance wise when compared to a much more expensive professional tool brand, but plenty of positive and negative reviews can be found online from when they have previously appeared in Lidl.
Anyone have one in their tool kit and if so have you found it worth having?

they are probably quite good, but! i have makita drills etc, and i bought a chinese " to take a makita " battery gun like that for about £40, and its been brilliant. Ive fake mini chain saw, leaf blower, and grinder. all good!

I've got one -

 

it's fine on the mini .

Not a lot of torque , but on a mini it's fine

 

don't expect it to work on commercials , use milwaukee for commercial .

 

The drills (20v) are very good & battery's are swappable 

 

on the whole Parkside stuff is usually good for DIY - just don't expect miracles .

I've had one for years, does what I need which is usually wheel nut removal on the Commer campers. It did make short work of the hub nut on the BX when I had the drive shaft out, doubt if it would touch a Mini one though.

Yes, some of the reviews i have read advise buying a set of impact sockets to add to the 4 sockets (17 • 19 • 21 • 23mm) included with the impact wrench.

 

Note: if anyone intends to buy one of these from Lidl that sometimes popular items sell out early and are only on sale for the week mentioned or until the stores stock runs out.

(The items on offer usually appear once a year in various different themed sales, similar to Aldi).

The equivalent Dewalt is a couple of hundred quid more, although you'd get two batteries. I'm tempted myself but if it ended up not being powerful enough I'd be a bit gutted. If it has enough torque for your needs it's a no brainer with a 3 year warranty.

should be enough for most applications which in my case is mostly speed and ease of effort rather than trying to undo something really tight.  in those rare instances I just use a longer bar ?

 

no having to charge batteries, easy returns policy, loads of stock, reputable supplier.. for my purposes where I actually don't really use it a lot and am always within 5-10m of a plug socket, it ticks all the boxes

 

the price on that battery one does seem decent though for what it is, if that's what you're after

I had a similar amazon one back in my early days, soon moved to a Milwaukee 1/2", if your going to be using it more than just occasionally i'd highly recommend one . 

Most of the cheaper ones say they are rated to a high torque but very rarely are, my <100 one struggled undoing 300nm. 


Getting replacement batteries is also a big thing if its going to be a long term tool.
