Does anyone know what the "CS" prefix means on a JCW conversion plate with North Lane, East Preston shown as the address?

Never seen one with a mark like that on it....I would think it should also contain numbers.

It should have numbers on it. It is on a 2000 mini cooper sport that was converted by JCW before the garage closed in 2006.

Cooper Sport? Need the certificate or bill of sale, that may provide more.

It looks like a blank plate with no ID or conversion number printed on it...
You may want to seek documentary confirmation that the car was actually modified by JCW.

Not actually interested in the car. Just interested if anyone knows what the "CS" stands for?

Maybe it's just the standard prefix for that garage, then after that they stamp in the unique number for that build

you can just buy the plates online I think, so it's possible someone just did that when they 'made' a cooper or maybe the garage just forgot to stamp it

either way it seems a bit dubious as to why there isn't a number that's what I would be more concerned about

Quick update. I have found out that the CS stands for Cooper S.

Thanks to everyone that read and replied to my post.
