I'm refreshing the pop out side windows with new rubber gaskets. Taking apart the old ones I can't tell if there was any sealant between the frame and the rubber or window and rubber as basically the "rubber" that came out was in chunks and dust.

Also any good tricks refitting the frame/rubber/glass?

Just took the frame off one tonight, no sign of any sealant, just lots of old crumbly rubber.

I'm using the seal from minispares 47H9535M

Going to wrap it around the glass, fold each side down and tape it down to glass to hold it in place as I work the frame back on. - Hopefully

What about using an old bicycle tyre inner tube? Has to be cheaper than the mini spares item

Unless the 92 mini quarter window is different from the 75 mini you will never get that to fit as it is about 2mm thick you need a seal about 0.75 mm thick as mentioned above a bicycle inner tube usually does the trick.

Yeah there's no way that 47H9535M is even looking like fitting.

I tried some self amalgamation tape, all looked to be going good until the last bit going in, got caught on the hinge/fixing point. Then I noticed it had slipped out around the upper rear curve, so back off now and have a bicycle tube ready try.

The inner tube worked great, a dab of superglue every inch or so to help hold it in place, working it in around the latch side first, then over with the hinge side and screw to lock it in place.

You need a tube to suit a 26" wheel, that just gives a small overlap that I cut off the excess. One tube will do 2 windows if you split it in half.

Perfect, glad it worked for you! I hope it stays water tight too
