Although the genuine bracket is a funky pressing with a swaged hole for the switch and a captive stud plus a 90 degree bend that goes into the slot to stop the bracket pivoting up and down, basically its a 90 degree bent bit of steel with a hole for the switch and another for a nut and bolt (more on that below)

Are you having trouble to visualise what the bracket should look like to knock up a copy - if so it looks like these:

You can replace the captive stud with a nut and bolt and probably do away with the 90 deg bend gizmo and use an extra nut and bolt but that is fiddly, I know because.........

FYI you don't say if your pedal box is correct for these brackets -  I have fitted a pedal switch to an early pedal box  - the pedal boxes are smaller (later ones are extended to incorporate the bracket as shown)  - the bracket had to be a bit different but its do-able. That used two small M5 nuts/bolts to hold it in place and stop it pivoting

gday guys. sorry for the late delay. I managed to get the switch sorted. I used a microswitch with a long arm and glued.it into place. works a treat
