hey , been watching forum for a while now and ty loads of posts and views got me where i am no

mini 1000 1979 small bore stage 1 running nice and no leaks

so had a rummage and came up with these

12g295 head needs inserts but could be built for leaded ,and 7thou skimmed already

998HD82 block with flat top pistons

dam 5652 gearbox ,

first post and introduction , and a shy ask for pointers

cant see any issues , but just reaching out before i taking the plunge,

getting the car up and done was just nuts and bolts and contortions for the clutch split pin at the top of pedal

, but now it feels like im gonna do surgery on its internals ( inside its heart the engine)

kindest regards and thanks for all the info up to now <3

Welcome to the Mini forum.

This is worth a watch as a reminder and shows you everything involved 'hands on' in re-building Mini engines and gearboxes.

No longer available on DVD but can be seen on the YouTube link below.
