I can't access my account, I no longer have access to the email address I used for it so can't reset the password. A tad frustrating but I'll just open up another account

Surely that doesn't help us with e-mailing you updates to that order also, and is largely out of our control? If you drop me a PM we should be able to recover the old details if you haven't yet created a new one.

Is anyone having issues contacting Minispares lately?

I've had nothing but incredible customer service and first class products from them for over a decade. I'm a little unsure about a product I recently received and now can't get a response from them.

(Except Simon of course, but I don't want you to feel any additional undue stress at this time(

Thanks for the reply Simon. I haven't ordered online for a while, my daughter is at York uni so I've been calling in when I've been dad's cabbing, I'll probably be there Friday morning

Something to be aware of  if you weren't already or maybe I'm just thick (probably the latter) which I only worked out after my most recent order (yesterday)

I used to make comment (in the comments...!) to note my TMF+ membership discount and on the previous system the order confirmation email received showed the full prices and then the invoice email on despatch had the discount subtracted.

The new system is instant payment at the "advertised" price so I emailed MS to ask about the discount status as there was no way for me to comment as there doesn't appear to be an order comments section ATM (or not that I could find but I do "man-looking" my wife tells me!)

What I didn't realise is that the advertised price changes to the discounted price if you are logged in and the system must have a flag to recognise you as a TMF+ discount member. However it doesn't tell you its the discounted price on the screen

So when I received the order confirmation email the price shows the discounted price/ that the discount has been applied, however this was not before I had queried this with MiniSpares due to the now instant payment system of what I thought was the "full" price - unfortunately wasting their time with an email, however I did follow up to explain what I had found/worked out and to comment that this change would have been good to have been publicised on here for us thickies (or maybe it was and I missed it)

There is post on exactly this in the TMF+ section of this website.

When I click this link the site tells me "sorry you don't have permission to view that"

I don't know what/where the TMF+ section is on the site - its not visible to me in any of the sections as far as I can see

Hence why I was unaware of this change

I am a TMF+ member as far as I am aware as I pay my fiver when requested by the site

Well whaddya know - after my comment about being a TMF+ member I thought I would have a look at my profile and see how that was indicated - when I looked at the subscription section in my profile, my TMF+  appears to have expired but I don't recall seeing a request to renew, as I would normally do it as soon as I saw the request

Apologies to minispares as I have been getting discount incorrectly/unfairly since June 23

However I will rectify that immediately tonight now I know. (and happy to back pay the missing stuff to validate the discount - this was completely unintentional)

Of course now I have a question about the site as to how does one receive a reminder to renew their TMF+ as I obviously missed it somehow?

I had an email reminder but it wouldn't let me renew yet. I forgot about it for a few weeks and now renewed it. I don't know when it properly expired as I'm sure I checked days after the date and it still didn't let me renew.

We have had some fixes go on the website over the last few days to fix any login issues they were having. If you are still having an issue logging in, please reply in this thread to my PM please with as much detail as you can?
