is there a post on this forum with audio where I can listen to the common classic horn sounds? need to buy a set but not sure on what they sound like. I do like the classic original sound eg.  lucas WT618 windhorn sounds.

I’d be amazed if there was; that’s quite possibly the most niche request I’ve seen posted on here!

Years ago in a Rover dealership I heard a woman requesting to hear the horn on a new Mini before buying it as it had to sound "right".It was amusing watching the salesmen connecting the battery.Steve..

Friend of mine is obsessed with the sound of the exhaust on his Morris Minor.  Any replacement has to provide the correct "farty" noise on lift off.  He fitted a stainless steel system but then had to replace it as the farty noise had been lost.  I've long given up trying to convince him to fit a straight through silencer.

I'm just glad my 96 spi horn actually works. Loads of other electrical stuff doesn't!

I love my tooter, I believe it's the original '77.  I briefly flirted with a klaxon but I found myself 'aroooga-ing' too often :-)

Although this post is from November 24 how about this. Not necessarily an original mini horn, however this site has sound files for the Fiamm horns. We were looking for the air horns that they use in the Tour de France cars and found this.
