I assume that the quote is from Apple's press release that accompanied the release of their xmas advertising campaign. American nonsense or not, it's certainly better than the woke crap that this country is turning out.
There’s no way Apple would use words like that, they’d lose business hand over fist. Google the quote and they are the words of the Daily Torygraph. It had to be either them or The Mail, the bitter sneery tone gives it away.
Having watched the ad, it’s a lovely emotional piece for a fantastic new feature on a great product, there is absolutely nothing political about it, nothing! So for the Telegraph to politicise it, twist it into a sneery judgemental diatribe really grinds my gears, it’s pathetic! Seeing it posted on here, with a snippet of a quote with no source just makes me sad, pure misinformation. I’ve toned that sentence down, rewritten it twice as I’m raging.
This is a forum for discussing old cars, a community with a passion that should be welcoming to all, trying to attract new members to keep the community alive, pass the passion on to others, but in the last few months it appears to have become quite the opposite. There’s no wonder the new post count these days barely makes a single full page when all the top posts are full of politics. Forums like this should be politically neutral, until there is a relevant political threat that affects the passion we all share, classic Minis.
Personally I’ve always found that the best way to get on with social groups, whether that be work, car clubs, football supporters, blokes in pubs etc. is to avoid getting into political discussion. just stick to the things that get you joining those groups in the first place and everyone gets on (mostly).
So can we get back to talking fixing rusty cars!!!!
