This one does not have captive nuts for the engine mount bolts.
Is this an early version?

Not a sign of where the square captive nuts used to be though.

My mount came with a 1967 austin 1300 engine, these engines didn't use the mini type rubber engine mount at that end of the engine, they had the mounts on the engine front plate, the same as a 1275 midget.

Ahhh, this could very well be one of those then 👍I've got one of those mounts on my mini, but I've welded captive nuts to it.

If they had the engine mount on the front plate what was on this bracket?

It still used that bracket to mount the radiator lower bracket.

Ahh, right.
I was thinking the holes in the bracket were used for something else maybe.
