A couple of points : -

- Has anybody else read Nadine Dorries's books 'The Plot' and 'Downfall'. For me they confirmed what I suspected ever since Maggie T said 'Yes Minister' was her favourite TV programme.

- I can't help but wonder what the election result would have been if Reform had never existed

It would get quite interesting if the petition was to eventually exceed 9.7 million votes.....

"Due to lower turnout, Labour won fewer votes in the 2024 election than at the 2019 election they lost under Jeremy Corbyn, at 9.7 million (2024) compared to 10.3 million (2019).
Labour’s total vote share was 33.8 per cent in 2024, a minute increase from 32.2 per cent in 2019, and well below the Tories’ 43.6 per cent in the previous election."

[quote]

In order to try and get the party that I wanted to rule the country, I joined the Labour party and voted for Corbyn to be their leader.

It worked a treat.
