Has anyone added Rear Seat Belts to an Elf?

If so where did you anchor them?

These are the 5 mounting with captive threaded nuts (links below) used in later Minis which would also fit a Mk3 Elf.

The rear bulkhead mounting goes low down on the rear bulkhead inside the boot.

The only problem is the plates need welding in position so not ideal unless part of a restoration.

I have rear seats in my Elf that were fitted using the Somerford kit Mab links too above. Main issue is that the rear pillars are wider on the Elf than the later minis because the Elf has the smaller rear screen from the mk1 Mini (but the larger side windows from the later Mini). So to fit ours a plate was welded to the rear of the front end of the mounting bracket to extend it. Second problem is that the C pillar trim needed modifying, In fact I think we made new. I went static belt to avoid the bulky mechanisms, but if they’re to be used regularly by different people I’d go inertia reel.  Alternatively fit the three lower brackets and go for lap belts.
