I wish them well but I don't think this is going to end in a good place.

I’ve just played the advert to my other half and asked her what she thinks it’s advertising, I gave her a clue that, no, not Dulux paint. Her response was …

“It must be sanitary products or something …. Jaguar???”

My sample of one would probably represent good market research which jaguar evidently didn’t do.

I've done three of these market researches as well without any prompting or opinions given, literally just showed the video and asking what they think, every one resulted in initial confusion followed by derisive laughter

I do agree that it's being talked about so in that respect the advert 'did its job' that is a fair argument in some ways

But at the same time I don't really believe all publicity is good publicity, I feel like what they've done by clearly jumping on the lgbt+ bandwagon what they're actually doing is polarising their demographic, there will definitely be a large number of people particularly the older people who are most likely to be able to afford the cars, who will turn away from the brand for fear of association with 'that sort of thing' .. you can argue that's a narrow minded standpoint all day and you may be right but it will happen

You're right, if I wanted people to think I was gay, I'd definitely buy an EV.

New cars are not aimed at car people. They are fashion statements and appliances. These qualities are important to many people and the lease(rent)will be set at a level that will be affordable. Not defending, just observing.I am a dinosaur.Steve..
