Hi members, thanks for having me. I have just bought a mini 998 car with a honda civic engine in it. I am trying to register the car in france as it was on italian plates and the vehicle historic/collection society in france want a photo of the engine bay. They are not asking for an engine number and i am simply reaching out to members if anyone has a white mini and could provide me with photos of an engine to satisfy their requirements.

I will need some photos without windscreen wipers and hopefully no mini plate.

For this i can provide Monaco Grand prix tickets for next May for up to four persons.

I hope someone can help to get my new car registered. France is always difficult and painfull for simple procedures!

hate to be 'that guy' but should it not be registered correctly with a picture of the engine that is actually in the car

 

or is this part of a plan to convert it back to 998

I don't think the French authorities are keen on modified cars, I imagine this is an attempt to pass it off as standard for registration?

I don't think this will work. 

 

When I got my Mini registered as historic, FFVE wanted a recent newspaper in every photo. Obviously getting the same newspaper in both your pictures and other people's would be impossible.

 

You may be able to do it without going through FFVE, because it is currently registered in Italy. Although you wouldn't get a historic registration cert, just a standard one.
