Are there any templates or measurements available to correctly position badges? The particular one I'm looking for is the "Austin Mini" script (in two parts) on the rear RH door of a woody Countryman.

I guess there are no templates and that, even during production, the badges weren't always positioned in the same locations. I suspect, too, that 'identical' badges from different eras and/or makers will have different pin locations, so template design is even more fraught.
My badges are from MiniSpares (14A6802/24A997 purchased 2024) and are marked "Made in UK". A quick measurement finds that (a) the two pins in 'Austin' aren't parallel to the bottoms of the letters in 'Austin' and (b) the two pins in 'Mini' aren't parallel to the bottoms of the letters in 'Mini'... and those 'not parallel' measurements are different on each of the two parts. Which would mean that naively drilling two pairs of holes, parallel to each other, will result in the two parts of the badge being not parallel to each other when fitted.
I have - by roughly eyeballing images of several unrestored Mk1 Countrymans (Countrymen?) - figured out the following positional dimensions, merely on the basis that they 'look about right' to me.

Then I've designed a hole-drilling 3DP template, based on those guesswork badge positions. But if anyone wants to take actual measurements from an unrestored original Countryman door then please let me know and I'll update the template. Of course, given that there are a mere 100 or so Austin estates left in the UK, I'm not expecting a rush to use this template! And, please, remember it's pretty much a guess: I'm happy with the results but you might not be.
To use the template: print it out, fit the badges onto the template and check they look correct (especially that the pins go into the holes and the two scripts end up exactly parallel). Then put the template against the door resting on the timber and touching the hinge, drill the four holes with a very sharp 4.0mm drill, remove template, open out to 4.8mm, add a dollop of S50 or similar, fit the mouse-condoms and press the badges in.
The template is here: https://www.printabl...ountryman-badge
