Ive seen many posts people asking about speaker mount options.
I wanted to simply share something i did to mount the tweeters to my car, 3D printed, no need for drilling :) pretty happy with the results.
If anyone is interested let me know!

What is the need for these speakers? I got some with some pioneer speakers and never had them fitted. Should I??
Standard/common car speakers have the tweeter (what these are) mounted in the one assembly. The tweeter produces the high frequency sounds. The higher the frequency, the more directional it is. For example, subwoofer frequencies (under say 100hz) aren't sensitive to their position. The problem is that when tweeters are in the mid range driver like most car speakers, the high frequencies are rarely pointed at the listener's ears.
Subs handle frequencies in the 0-100s range, mid drivers take over until somewhere in the 1000s range. Tweeters then produce up to the 20-40khz range. If the wrong driver is sent the wrong frequencies, it can cause damage. A crossover is fitted to split the frequencies to each driver, the most basic ones consist of a capacitor.
In car audio terms, speakers with separate tweeters are called "component" speakers.
If you have component speakers fitted without the tweeters, they will sound rubbish. Especially if the crossover is still fitted. The crossover is what splits the different frequencies to each driver.

They look really tidy. Are the double sided tape to the pillar?
Kind of, they mount with scotch mounting squares, similar to velcro but much stronger. Used for exteriors. Basically you can remove them and place them back if you need to replace the windscreen seal or just to clean the glass.

Do it, if those came with the speakers you have installed in your car, you aren't listening all the high frequencies of whatever is playing in your radio! Basically things like cymbals, high pitch instruments, even vocals

To be honest in real terms tweeters are much of a muchness, you might notice some extra tssss on your cymbals and hi hats but not really much more than that
Depending on what style of music you listen to as well there may be literally no noticeable difference at all.
I've had systems where I put them in and systems where I haven't, really the most important thing is good main speakers and (for me) solid bass
And either way, the sound is only as good your eq settings which if you want to be anally retentive (or an "audiophile") you have to adjust for every different album because they're all mixed down to varying studio preferences anyway
And then what's your source? Cd or really high quality mp3, great.. radio or low quality mp3 forget it
Having said all that though those mounts do look good 👍
