Thought this might prove useful to someone...

There are lots of ways to prop a Mini up. But I find it tricky to get enough room to position a trolley-jack and then an axle-stand at each corner. So I made these up. They're from bits of left-over 3/4" shuttering, cut on the CNC, stacked up, and screwed/glued together. Then plonked on top of a couple of 3"x10" joist offcuts to get the necessary lift. Similar could be made using a jigsaw, or even cut them in one piece from 5x5 timber on a bandsaw.

Glues are pretty good these days aren't they, try pulling apart anything stuck together with Gorrilla glue

but still I think I'd want to run some stud through them and plate/washer + bolt either side.. two on each, either side of the dip if that makes sense

nice idea though

If they do fail, it won't be the bits I glued but the ply itself that gives - shuttering being pretty skimpy on glue even in the old days. And these days I think they use a light spit of flour-and-water. Sometimes forgetting the flour. But with #10 x 4" screws (from both sides so they hugely overlap) they'll not be coming apart even if/when the ply fails.
