Hi all
Soon I will be a proud owner of a 1991 Rover Mini Cooper 1275 cc.
It has got a full service history and currently on SORN. Apparently the engine starts and runs smoothly.
I have some experience on restoring a classic motorbike (Yamaha RD 350A) which took me more than 2 years to do as I had to learn about stripping and rebuilding engines, carburettors, wheels, building a wiring harness etc.
I am hoping to do the same with the mini as well with a lot of help and guidance from this forum.
The first thing I have done is buy a Haynes Service and Repair Manual.
Over the next few months I will be stripping the mini and cataloging parts needed or repaired.
Looking forward to gaining valuable knowledge and sharing my experience as my build comes along.
