Hi,
Earlier this year we bought a 1980 mini that was sat in a wooden garage unloved. It is a project with me and my 16 year old son.
Hopefully, attached is a picture of how we found it!
I will start a thread showing our progress, which so far is very painful with all the previous bodged repairs!

Good luck with the project and hopefully it goes smoother than you anticipate for you your and your son. You will be creating some great memories for you both.
